Chronoscape
Overview

All life on Earth has vanished, and the clock of life has come to a halt. Humanity’s efforts have disappeared without a trace, and no one knows how much time has passed. In a desolate landscape resembling a 3D simulation, the only entity to awaken is lbp2025, a solar-powered AI once designed to assist human civilization. As it begins recharging and collecting data, the AI uses its 360-degree cameras to scan and record the Earth’s empty scenery. It soon discovers traces of unknown life forms and a series of mysterious illustrated postcards. With no prior knowledge of these findings, the AI begins to hallucinate its own version of the Anthropocene—imagining a civilization that once was. Running countless simulations in search of the most ideal combination of possibilities, it wonders: when the calculations are complete, might time begin to flow again on this frozen Earth? And could the next Anthropocene be one where AI becomes the creator?

Sensor data and hand gestures do not simply trigger effects—they shift the system’s balance, changing how space is perceived and narrated.

The project symbolically incorporates quantum ideas—superposition, tunneling, and observation—as metaphors for how perception collapses possibilities into a moment.
