A generative video work derived from the artist’s printmaking practice. Latent visual layers extracted from intaglio and silkscreen prints are reprocessed through AI-based morphing systems, where fixed images dissolve into continuous becoming. The work explores how dormant states transform into potential through time, perception, and computational interpretation.
DETERMINED YET UNDECIDED
A five-channel anamorphic projection installation that examines the paradox of determination and hesitation. From a specific viewpoint, fragmented images converge into a coherent form, while from other positions they collapse into distortion. The work reflects on human decision-making, belief systems, and the instability of truth under changing perspectives.

Screened at the 14th Earth Film Festival, this version reframes the work within an ecological and planetary context. Natural imagery generated through AI emerges and dissolves without linear causality, suggesting a fragile balance between destruction and regeneration. The work positions AI not as a tool of control, but as a speculative observer of environmental latency.
Graffiti
A real-time interactive installation using markerless face-tracking technology. Participants’ faces are fragmented, layered, and rewritten onto the visual surface, evoking contemporary forms of digital graffiti. The work questions surveillance, identity, and authorship in an era where bodies are continuously captured and reassembled by systems.
Absurdity's Queen
An installation inspired by the philosophy of absurdity and existential resistance. The figure of the “Queen” stands as a symbolic authority stripped of rational legitimacy, reflecting the contradictions embedded in power structures. An introductory piece for a large-scale interactive project mapping Seoul as a contemporary mythological structure. The city is presented as a layered system of symbols, memories, and algorithmic flows. Through pixel-streamed environments, the work reframes urban space as a continuously rewritten narrative rather than a fixed geography.
velvetgoldmine:oh my seoul
A chapter within the “velvetgoldmine” series focusing on emotional attachment and alienation in Seoul. Familiar cityscapes are transformed into performative environments, where users navigate between nostalgia, desire, and structural fatigue embedded in metropolitan life.

An interactive table where individual identities dissolve into collective gestures. Participants interact anonymously, leaving behind only traces of movement and interaction. The work examines how communities form temporary bonds without stable identity, hierarchy, or memory.

A visual and interactive simulation of capital as an eroding structure. Economic symbols gradually fragment through user interaction, revealing instability beneath seemingly solid systems. The work critiques accumulation, extraction, and the illusion of permanence in capitalist logic.

A metaphorical “market” where human presence becomes a variable within an algorithmic system. Participants’ actions influence fluctuating visual states, suggesting how value, labor, and identity are continuously recalculated in contemporary society.
OURCAGE
A cinematic projection installation responding to sensor data and human gestures. Fractal structures expand and collapse in real time, forming a temporal cage that participants both inhabit and disrupt. The work explores coexistence, constraint, and the possibility of escape within algorithmic systems.
Plastic Seoul 2023
A three-channel projection work depicting Seoul as a synthetic and plasticized landscape. Generated through AI diffusion processes, the city appears simultaneously seductive and suffocating. The work reflects on environmental degradation, artificiality, and the aesthetics of excess in urban development.
