Presented as part of the Cheonggye Soul Ocean exhibition, which attracted 1.81 million visitors over eight months, Latent Becomes Potential transformed Cheonggyecheon from a passageway into a space of perceptual dwelling. Projected onto the unstable surface of flowing water, the work revealed latent states through continuous misalignment between image, light, and environment, inviting prolonged observation rather than instant consumption.
