Two Overlapping Worlds: Determined Yet Not Decided
Procedural and anamorphic spaces—where language and collective gaze continuously rewrite the scene.
Overview
This site-specific installation transforms the empty interior of an abandoned factory into a layered perceptual environment. Using five synchronized projectors, the work overlays two anamorphic systems: one revealing a world beyond the factory walls, and another depicting the orbiting movement of Mars within an imagined cosmic space. The architecture of the factory functions not as a neutral container but as an active structural element, shaping how images align, fracture, and resolve. Depending on the viewer’s position, the projected images converge into coherent forms or dissolve into abstraction, allowing two distinct anamorphic experiences to coexist within the same space. While the world presented by the work is structurally determined, the act of seeing remains undecided. Meaning emerges through the viewer’s movement and choice, emphasizing perception as a variable rather than a fixed outcome.
